Why am I seeing advertisements for MHM Services?

In 1981, MHM Services, Inc. was formed. Centurion started in 2011 as a partnership between MHM Services and Centene Corporation that brought together two healthcare leaders to revolutionize the coordination and delivery of correctional healthcare. In 2018, Centene Corporation acquired MHM Services and rebranded the company to Centurion. In some states and locations, you may still see MHM Services or MHM Solutions, but as a whole, MHM is a part of the Centurion family.

Is it safe to work in a prison or a jail?

The correctional setting is a highly structured environment. Safety is a primary area of focus for healthcare personnel, corrections officers, and other institution employees.

Is there a multidisciplinary treatment team?

Yes we have collaborative treatment teams in all disciplines including nursing, mental health, primary care, dental, and specialty care.

How long does credentialing take?

Our internal credentialing process takes approximately three weeks. However, each facility also has their own security clearance process which can vary in length.

Is corrections experience required?

No. Our employees come from a wide variety of healthcare backgrounds.

Are benefits offered?

All of Centurion’s employed positions offer comprehensive benefits to employees working 30 hours per week or more including company sponsored health, dental and vision plans as well as generous paid time off; 401k with match; and much more. Employees working 20-29 hours per week are also eligible for part-time benefits. Staffing contract/ independent contractor positions do not offer benefits. What can I expect after I submit my online application?

How long does the application/interview/hiring process take?
